Gesilco coupling products are manufactured from advanced composites. The Gesilco designs follow a lightweight approach with a modular system, specifically tailored to the customer’s requirements concerning transmitted power and length. Due to the directional nature of these materials, bending stiffness and torsional stiffness of the coupling can be adjusted over a wide range.

The corrugated contour of the Gesilco Butterfly, Classic and Composhaft Coupling membrane provides low reaction forces under high angular and axial deflection, while maintaining torsional rigidity at lowest weight. Uniform (homokinetic) torque transmission enables high-speed operation while maintaining axial stability. Another mechanical property of the composite structure is a high level of sound attenuation. The Gesilco Disc consists of two flat membranes with flanges. The composite material of the Gesilco Disc makes the coupling electrically non-conductive which eliminates any potential galvanic and electrical corrosion problems.

The Gesilco Disc allows for uniform transmission of severe vibratory torques and radial forces at high speeds. The Gesilco Shaftline is made of either a glass or carbon filament wound tube, connected to flanges made of steel or aluminium.The flange to tube connections are made by mechanical load transfer (i.e. bolted or press fitted joints) ensuring highest safety factors.
