The Geislinger Gesilco® product range is based on more than 20 years experience with composite coupling. The maintenance-free composite membranes are the state of the art solution for lightweight, highly flexible misalignment couplings.
The carbon fibre reinforced membranes provide lowest reaction forces due to their unique corrugated design – reducing bearing loads to a minimum. This increases the system reliability and enables the use of ultra-soft resilient mountings for utmost comfort. Without any moving or wear parts, longest lifetime and highest reliability are granted. Different designs provide easy adaption to various connection interfaces.
The membranes are lifetime-calculated and maintenance-free. Due to the exclusive use of advanced materials and state of the art manufacturing methods, Geislinger Gesilco® Couplings are second to none when it comes to weight and reliability. Operation temperatures from -35°C up to +80°C and good chemical resistance are further benefits. The latest extension to the Gesilco® product range are Geislinger shafts – IS. They feature one-piece manufacturing and thus included composite flanges – reducing the weight by around 50% compared to other composite shaft line solutions. Concerning fast crafts, this means enhanced payload or higher permissible speeds. Outstanding shock capabilities and good noise attenuation make Geislinger Gesilco® products perfect for the use in advanced vessels running at high speeds or sea states.
The Geislinger Gesilco® coupling consists of three elements:
- Maintenance-free composite membranes, mainly arranged in pairs
- Composite shafts or one-piece intermediate section
- Spacers / bolts for length adjustment according to installation situation
