The Geislinger Vdamp® is a refined approach towards the viscous (silicone oil) dampers. Its improved calculation method enables Geislinger to perfectly adjust the Vdamp to the system and provide a more precise lifetime prediction.
The Geislinger Vdamp® is designed to deliver maximum performance under all conditions. With the revolutionary Vdamp®XT a damper concept with even longer lifetime is available. By doubling the service with the Vdamp®XT, the engine uptime is significantly enhanced and the service costs are reduced.
As Geislinger Vdamps are available in bolted versions only, an overhaul is easily possible - further reducing costs and use of resources.
Targeting OEM usage, also retrofit solutions are possible to improve your propulsion system performance. In-house oil sampling at Geislinger ensures fast response and highly accurate life-time forecasts.
The Geislinger Vdamp® and Vdamp®XT consist of two main elements: housing and an inertia ring. These two parts are elastically connected with silicone oil and guided by high-tech polymer elements. In case of a vibration the housing accelerates relative to the inertia ring – shearing the silicone oil and by this creating damping. The vibration energy is transferred into heat and dissipated by the damper surface to the ambient air.
The refined calculation methods and unique lifetime extension system makes the Geislinger Vdamp® a proud member of the “Built to last.“ family.
