The Silenco® coupling is an acoustically optimized misalignment coupling. It consists of flanges, maintenance-free composite membranes with increased damping properties, composite shafts, and steel spacers. The coupling provides resistance to oil and offers electrical insulation as an option. Depending on the acoustical needs and the required torque, different versions of flanges, membranes and shafts are available.

The lightweight Geislinger Silenco® coupling is designed to minimize the transfer of the structure borne sound. Its modular system comprises components with the best acoustical performance. Additionally, to further optimize the coupling, special flanges made out of a combination of composite material, rubber, and steel have been specifically developed for the Silenco®. Designed to avoid resonance effects of its components, the Geislinger Silenco® coupling ensures an extensive reduction in the transfer of structure-borne noise.

The lightweight Silenco® coupling compensate radial, axial and angular misalignments. All components are acoustically optimized, including its

  • flanges, with or without rubber layers.
  • maintenance-free composite membranes with increased damping capabilities.
  • composite shafts.
  • steel spacers for length which, can be adjusted to each type of installation.

For the development of our acoustic couplings that meet your specific application requirements and to confirm the predicted transmission loss, Geislinger has built an innovative acoustic test lab with state-of-the-art acoustic test beds.

The Geislinger Silenco® is based on more than 25 years' experience in developing fiber composite couplings and shafts. All Gesilco® products are manufactured in our Austrian Geislinger locations.
