Built on more than 30 years of experience in the development of fiber composite couplings and shafts, the new SILENCO® Neo has been specifically engineered to minimize the transfer of structure-borne sound while maintaining maximum operational reliability and flexibility.
The modular coupling system consists of acoustically optimized components including flanges, maintenance-free composite membranes with increased damping properties, composite shafts, and steel spacers that can be individually adapted to installation requirements. Depending on acoustic demands and torque requirements, different flange, membrane, and shaft configurations are available.
To further improve acoustic attenuation, the SILENCO® Neo incorporates specially engineered flanges made from advanced composite materials, significantly reducing structure-borne noise transmission across the entire drivetrain.
In addition to its superior acoustic characteristics, the SILENCO® Neo Coupling compensates for radial, axial, and angular misalignments while maintaining exceptionally low reaction forces. The coupling is maintenance-free, resistant to oil, and can be configured as fully electrically insulating and almost non-magnetic, making it suitable for highly specialized applications.
The SILENCO® Neo Coupling is designed for a wide range of industries and applications, including marine, off-highway, wind power and renewables and industrial applications.
To support the development and validation of its acoustic coupling technologies, Geislinger has established an innovative in-house acoustic test laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art acoustic test beds. This enables the Geislinger to tailor coupling solutions precisely to customer-specific application requirements and verify dynamic stiffness under comparable conditions.
